Stripe to USDC: what the payment link actually does

Paytero can offer a provider route labeled Stripe for an eligible customer payment. That is different from withdrawing or converting money already in your Stripe account.

Short answer

In Paytero's payment-link flow, a customer pays through a selected operator route and the merchant's settlement is directed to an eligible USDC Polygon wallet after a successful payment. This is not a tool for moving an existing Stripe balance to a crypto wallet, and it does not make Paytero a Stripe account or merchant-of-record service.

Customer checkout

When the Stripe-labeled route is active and eligible, the customer continues from a Paytero request to the operator-controlled payment step. The operator handles payment details and checks.

Fiat-to-crypto handoff

The customer amount, Paytero fee, and chosen route are set on the payment request. Provider conversion and network costs may affect the final settlement.

Merchant payout

The merchant supplies an eligible self-custodial wallet for USDC on Polygon. A confirmed payment, not merely opening checkout, determines the recorded paid status.

Is “Stripe to crypto” a Stripe balance withdrawal?

No. Searches for “Stripe to USDC” or “Stripe to crypto” can mean two different things. Paytero supports creating a new customer payment request that may use a Stripe-labeled checkout route. It does not connect to your Stripe dashboard, pull an existing Stripe balance, or convert historical Stripe payouts. If you need to move funds already held in a Stripe account, use the payout and financial products Stripe officially makes available to your account.

Paytero is not affiliated with or endorsed by Stripe. Availability of a named route can change and is subject to the operator's rules.

What to check before sharing the link

  1. Route status and region: The Stripe-labeled route may be active, but the buyer's location and payment eligibility still matter.
  2. Amount and currency: Meet the route's current minimum and supported currency shown in the link builder.
  3. Transparent total: Review the customer total, Paytero fee, and any operator or network charges presented during checkout.
  4. Separate wallets: The merchant payout wallet must differ from the affiliate commission wallet.
  5. Confirmation: Fulfill only after the payment status is confirmed. The operator may require customer verification or decline the transaction.

Common questions

Can any high-risk business use this route? No. An active route is not an approval for every product, country, buyer, or business category. See the high-risk payment link checklist.

Do I receive USDC before a customer pays? No. Paytero creates the payment request first; settlement follows an eligible, completed customer payment.
