PayPal to crypto: customer payments, not balance transfers

A PayPal-labeled route may be offered for an eligible new customer payment. It does not move money already sitting in your PayPal Business account.

What this route means

Paytero can create a one-time request that offers an active PayPal-labeled checkout route when the amount, currency, and customer are eligible. After an operator-confirmed payment, the merchant settlement is directed to the wallet entered for that request, normally as USDC on Polygon. It is not a PayPal-to-wallet transfer or withdrawal product.

One customer, one link

Create a request for a specific customer email and amount. The customer reviews the total on Paytero before continuing to an available checkout route.

Operator decision

A route labeled PayPal does not guarantee that a buyer can pay from a PayPal balance, use a particular funding method, or avoid verification. The operator decides.

USDC settlement

Use a self-custodial merchant wallet that supports USDC on Polygon. The affiliate commission wallet is a separate address and must not be reused as the merchant payout wallet.

What “PayPal to crypto” does not mean

This flow does not connect to your PayPal account, withdraw your PayPal Business balance, offer Friends and Family payments, or bypass PayPal's policies. The route name identifies a possible customer checkout option within an independent operator's system. Paytero is not affiliated with or endorsed by PayPal.

If you already have funds inside PayPal, use PayPal's official withdrawal or other supported products for your account. A Paytero link is for a new customer payment request.

Before choosing a PayPal-labeled route

  1. Check the live route status, currency, minimum amount, and region in the link builder.
  2. Review the Paytero fee and the amount the customer will be asked to pay. Provider conversion or network costs may also apply.
  3. Use the customer's correct email and explain the goods or services you are selling.
  4. Expect the operator to apply customer and transaction checks. If the direct route is unavailable, automatic checkout may show other eligible choices.
  5. Wait for a confirmed paid status before treating the order as complete.

Common questions

Does this make Paytero a PayPal processor? No. Paytero creates the request and routes the customer; the selected operator handles the payment.

Will every PayPal customer be accepted? No. Availability varies by customer, country, amount, currency, and operator rules. The payment link guide explains automatic routing.
