How to create a payment link
A clear payment request gives your customer an amount, a recognizable checkout, and a direct route to an eligible payment operator.
For a quick link, enter the customer email, amount, currency, and your own eligible settlement wallet. An account adds saved titles and descriptions so you can find requests later. Every link is intended for one customer and one payment.
Share one URL
Paytero creates a short link and a full checkout URL for the same request. Share it only with the customer named in the request.
Offer eligible methods
Operators may offer cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer, or local methods. These are operator capabilities, not separate Paytero payment rails.
Settle to your wallet
Use a self-custodial EVM wallet compatible with USDC on Polygon. The merchant receiver must be different from the Paytero affiliate wallet.
Which payment methods will a customer see?
Provider status alone is not a promise of availability. Amount, currency, customer location, and the operator's own checks can change what appears. Automatic checkout lets the operator make that eligibility decision at payment time; a direct route sends the customer to a selected active operator.
Paytero does not ask for a location permission or store precise location to create a link. The operator may determine region from the customer's connection when checkout opens.
Before sending a link
- Check the customer email and the amount.
- Review the displayed Paytero fee and total. Other provider or network charges may apply.
- Make sure the payout wallet is yours, self-custodial, and supported for the settlement asset and network.
- Describe the real product or service in your own records. Registration gives you a searchable history.
- Do not mark an order paid until Paytero receives provider confirmation.
Common questions
Can I create a link without registering? Yes. The public generator creates a quick one-time request. Sign in for saved descriptions and dashboard history.
Can I customize the payment page? Your Paytero request page can show your brand and message when you sign in. The licensed operator controls its final payment form and may require customer verification.
